Cucumis melo. One of the prettiest heirloom melon varieties almost ornamental. This old French variety produces lots of round shaped fruit. Dark green skin color with gray netting and bright orange flesh, average weight about 1-2 lb. Absolutely delicious and very productive. Originally from the Tours region of France which is on the Loire river so does well in cooler climates.
